Sections and products

The Menu tab shows the sections of your active menu. Tap a section to see the products inside it.

Sections

A section is a category — Starters, Mains, Cocktails. Guests see them as the headings of your menu, in the order you set here.

To add one, tap Add section, type a name and confirm with Add section.

To change one, open Edit section. You get:

  • Name — the heading guests see.
  • Description — an optional line shown under the section title.
  • Translations — the same two fields in each of your menu's other languages.
Deleting a section deletes every product in it. The confirmation says so explicitly: "Delete ':name'? All products will be removed." There is no undo.

Products

Open a section and tap Add product. The editor has three tabs.

Basic

The fields guests read first:

  • Name
  • Price
  • Short description — a brief tagline
  • Description — the full text
  • Availability — see below
  • Featured product — see below

Languages

One set of name and description fields per language enabled on the menu. Anything you leave empty falls back to the original language, so a half-translated product still reads correctly — it just shows some text in the original language.

See Menu languages.

Advanced

Variants (sizes or types the guest picks between) and add-ons (paid extras). See Variants and add-ons.

Availability

Each product can be marked:

  • Available — the normal state.
  • Sold out — shown to guests with a "sold out" badge, so they know it exists but is gone for today.
  • Unavailable — hidden from the menu entirely.

Which of these you get depends on your plan — see Plans and limits.

Turning on Featured product puts a dish in the highlights section at the top of the menu. It is the right place for specials and the dishes you actually want to sell.

Featured products are not available on every plan, and plans that do include them cap how many you can feature per menu. If you hit the cap, the editor tells you the number your plan allows.
