Variants and add-ons

Both live on the Advanced tab of the product editor.

• Variants let the guest choose between versions of the same dish — Small / Large, Glass / Bottle.
• Add-ons are paid extras on top — Extra cheese, Side salad.

Variants

Tap Add variant, give it a name and a price. Repeat for each option.

The editor reminds you of this with "Include a variant for your base price — the price from the Basic tab will no longer be shown."

The product price is still required

Leaving Price empty is not an option — the editor requires it either way. It simply stops being what guests pay once variants exist, which is why the field carries the note "Only used when the product has no variants — the variants below set the prices."

It is a fallback, not a competing price: delete every variant and that price takes over again, so a dish can never end up with no price at all.

What guests actually see

The menu list and the product page show the cheapest variant:

The from prefix appears only when your variants actually differ in price, so a dish with one variant, or several at the same price, reads as a plain price.

Worked example

A pizza whose product price is €12, with a large at €16. Do this:

Guests see from €12 and can order either size.

Not this:

Here the only orderable price is €16. The €12 on the Basic tab is still stored — it is required — but it is not shown and cannot be ordered, so the cheap pizza has effectively disappeared from your menu.

Add-ons

Tap Add add-on, name it and price it. Add-ons stack on top of whichever variant the guest picked, so price them as the extra, not the total.

Translating them

Variant and add-on names are translated along with the rest of the menu — both by hand and by assisted translation, which reports how many variants and add-ons it covered.
